Full bio
House of Sons started the way most bands do: in a garage, without a plan.
Greg, a lawyer by trade, picked guitar back up after decades away from it. His sons Dan (19, currently studying music in Melbourne) and Will (13) picked up bass and drums like they'd been waiting for the invitation. What began as a father finding his way back to music became a three-piece with real chemistry, and real generational friction, in the best way.
Their debut album, Ten Feet Tall, was recorded at Airlock Studios with producer James See. Cat Gallagher (Kiore Music) joined the sessions on keys, piano and vocals, and the record even features a guest appearance from Greg's father, Vaughan, on ukulele and backing vocals: three generations on one track.
Ten Feet Tall is a real album, by a real family. It's a document of three people finding a new way to spend time together: loud, occasionally chaotic, and built to last.
